Austin Road Excellence
Austin Road Middle School (ARMS), the smallest middle school in Henry County, is proudly one of the district's top performers. Committed to exceeding expectations daily, we create a nurturing community where students enjoy unforgettable middle school experiences and love coming to school, fostering academic success and personal growth.
Achievement - ARMS earned state recognition for double-digit gains in Mathematics on the 2023-2024 Georgia Milestones, showcasing students, staff, and community efforts toward academic excellence.
Advanced Coursework - We offer advanced courses like Algebra I, Honors Spanish, Physical Science, and Engineering, preparing middle school scholars for high school while fostering excellence and academic achievement.
Henry Reads - Our Henry Reads initiative increases reading proficiency and Lexile levels using 3 Reads graphic organizers, fostering comprehension, critical thinking, and literacy success through targeted strategies and a love for reading.
Attendance - We are committed to ensuring scholars attend 90% or more of enrolled days, as regular attendance is vital for maximizing learning, receiving instruction, and achieving academic success.
Henry Futures - At ARMS, we prioritize supporting the whole child by addressing academic, social-emotional, and physical needs, fostering well-rounded development, and empowering students to thrive.
Fine Arts - ARMS has expanded fine arts to include orchestra, alongside chorus, band, and art, showcasing talent through performances and valuing arts’ role in education.
