I graduated from Florida Atlantic University with a degree in elementary education. I also earned certification in ESOL at that time. Over the next two years, I worked hard to earn my Gifted Endorsement. After moving to Henry County, my principal chose me to join the Science and Mathematics Institute of Leader Educators. It was a two-year venture in which I would learn to help students gain a better understanding of science skills and concepts. This is where I discovered my true passion for teaching science.

In my 10 years as a middle school teacher, I served on the Leadership T.E.A.M as both the Science Department Chair and as the 8th Grade Curriculum Chair. 

The following is a list of schools and grades/ subjects I have taught. 

Austin Road Elementary, Henry County - 5th Grade Math

Dutchtown Middle School , Henry County - Physical Science and Earth Science

Oakland Elementary, Henry County - 5th grade- I taught every subject.

Pasadena Lakes Elementary, Florida- Resource math and reading for 2nd-5th grades; 2nd grade- I taught

every subject for one year.

Collins Elementary, Florida- 2nd grade- I taught every subject for five years.
